"The alternative to business as usual, Plan B calls for cutting net carbon dioxide emissions 80 percent by 2020. This will allow us to prevent the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, already at 384 parts per million (ppm), from exceeding 400 ppm, thus keeping future global temperature rise to a minimum."

Practical Guide To Sustainable Energy Systems

Stanford Science 21 with Prof. Sally M. Benson and 52 talented professionals, including engineers, architects, lawyers, teachers, mothers, activists, scientists, marketing professionals, wall street trader’s, software engineers, contractors, philanthropists, come together on Tuesday nights to find global energy solutions that significantly reduce CO2 emissions.
Prof. Sally Benson will share insight in how to harness the abundant sustainable energy available. Multidisciplinary class teams will provide strategic planning to achieve sustainability by .....2050? With this much talent in the room, shall we just go ahead and say 2030.
Focussing the next 20 years developing sustainable energy systems will provide tremendous economic assistance. Increasing investment in sustainable energy solutions for the 80% of the worlds population currently underserved sufficient energy, food and potable water, we will restore dignity to millions...sustainably, while increasing global security and stability. We can provide an abundant energy system that does not degrade the quality of life for the future generations of all living things. We will all thrive with commons and individual profits creating MORE clean air, clean water, and clean energy for everyone. We will have more health, more resources, more savings, and most importantly more peace of mind.
Sustainability means MORE of the things that matter and provides a dignified quality of life for all. This is worth achieving.
I am happy and honored to be on the team, Daisy Carlson
